Many boys when get marry leave their parents; but this boy Shravan Kumar sacrificed everything for his parents.

His parents were blind, Shravan Kumar used to do everything for them from cooking, feeding to walking them around on his shoulder, by putting each parent in each basket, and held baskets on left and right shoulder hanging down from a thick strong stick through many cords.

He was only single support for them. One day king Dasaratha (father of Rama) shot him down in a misunderstanding of a deer. He died, but became immortal due to untiring service for his parents.

In Indian culture, when a boy serves his parents a lot, he is generally called Shravan Kumar.
