When I first burned my Wordpress feed on Feedburner, it took me hours to figure out “how to do that.” If you are struggling with the same problem here you can do it in just few minutes.
What I did, I typed on browser, http://www.myroughdrafts.com/feed/, and saw the feed for my blog; please note that Wordpress automatically generates feed for your blog. You can do same for your blog also, just type your blog name and add /feed/, that’s it.
If you already have a gmail a/c, then it’s good, otherwise create a gmail account, ‘coz your Feedburner a/c will be linked to that.
Just type http://feedburner.google.com/ on browser’s url and paste your blog feed url where you see this message, “Burn a feed right this instant,” and click “next”.
On the next page, you can create your custom address, http://feeds.feedburner.com/_____________, it is normally the blogname, like I did for mine: http://feeds.feedburner.com/MyRoughDrafts/feed , then click “save.”
You can use that link on your Wordpress / Blogger’s text/html widget, like this, <a href=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/MyRoughDrafts/feed “> Subscribe to my feed </a>. Or you want to send your upcoming posts in their email accounts, that is email subscription, you can get it from Feedburner: Publicize > Email Subscription; just activate it, get the codes and paste it on your text/html widget.
