When married couples, after years of marriage don’t get any child — an unbearable situation comes. There are many things for getting a baby like Santan-Gopal Mantra Anusthan, Putrakameshti Yagna and lots of other mantras and Anusthanas — but this Putrada Ekadashi Vrat & Katha for that is simplest one. Hope it gives every parents as many sons and daughters as they want.

Putrada Ekadashi falls on Shravan Sudi Ekadashi, this day people worship lord Janardan by Shodashopachara Puja, observe Vrat (fast) and do Bhajan, Kirtan and Mantra for the lord. They also feed the poor and donate money to them.

Once there was a king, he had 101 queens, all were beautiful — but he had no child. With growing age his worries were increasing. So one day he called up all the astrologers, saints and sadhus, and told them his worries. They suggested him to do Vrat & Puja of Putrada Ekadashi on Shravan Sudi Ekadashi, he agreed.

When he shared this information among his queens, all of them said that they would also do Vrat and Puja with the king. So that day came, 101 queens and the king observed Vrat (fast) and did Puja of lord Janardan — they passed the whole day with singing and chanting lord’s name (that is Bhajan, Kirtan and Mantra chanting). At night they slept near the lord’s murti.

At night lord Janardan appeared in king’s dream, and said, “You will have mix of 101 sons and daughters.” King told this news to his queens, as the time passed, king started hearing good news about his queens’ pregnancy. And he got lots of children as he wanted.
