Conscious people play Holi with natural colors, these colors don’t damage the health but help skin to get cleaned and glow. They are the best things to be used on loved ones. The terrible color is ink that students use to throw at each before going to their home from college. But if everyone uses these natural colors, then nobody will afraid of natural colors.
When people find you using natural colors, they may not afraid but will say “come on, color me.” So here are some tips about how you can make natural color at your home.
The royal ones
Kesar water — kesar is expensive but we can use its water for elderly much respected and loved people.
Sandalwood — it is easily available both in powder form and wet form; in powder form we can use it as a gulal, and in wet form (like chandan tika) we can use it to make chandan water.
Asta-gandha — it is also available at puja shop, mainly used to making yantra on bhojpatra, but it can be used as a natural color.
Gorochan — this powder is considered holy, as it comes from cows and easily available at puja or pansari’s shop.
Rose — we can make rose water by crushing its petals in some grinder.
Medicated ones
Turmeric — its powder is found in all the homes, and it can be used as gulal.
Marigold — we can crush marigold petals and can make water out of it.
Eatables ones
Tomatoes — crushed tomatoes in water.
Pomegranate juice — wonderful thing for Holi.
Other eatables colors — that are available at pansari’s shops, mostly come in use of coloring sweets.
Women’s favorite
Green henna powder (हरी मेहंदी) — it can be used as gulal.
Multani Mitti powder — it can be used in both as a gulal and as a water out of it.
Tesu ke phool (flower) — when you dip them in water, they give yellowish and reddish type of color.
