I bought this book 2-3 years ago, but couldn't manage to read it at that time 'coz I didn't want to go through with the author in suffering, torture, killing, hopelessness, despair ... you can imagine all kind of hell.
But after having read it, I found very valuable insight that how to survive, how to keep hope, how to make choice when death is dancing on your head. Yes, this book has practical insight and understanding to give.
People, so called presence-minded-people say to live in present, to forget the past and future. You have power in present time. Past and future are just the concepts. Bullshit!
Be flexible.
This book helps to understand why hope for the future, imagination for the future, life you want in your future -- in fact create your present for that future. You break all the limitation of the present, all the sufferings and the tortures of the present, and start creating your world, your better world. Imaging your future, your better future, gives strength to your mind and body to fight all the psychological and physical wars that exist in your present moment.
Along with the hope for future, second thing that is very very essential comes automatically that is choice making, to choose what your really want, and not to fall with sheep.
If you are going through some sort of crisis in your life, this book may give you some insight or strength or some kind of help, I think.
